Index membership is not required. Eligibility is reconstructed independently for every completed market session.
Point-in-time active listings classified as common stock (CS) or common ADR (ADRC) on Nasdaq, NYSE, or NYSE American. Delisted names remain represented on dates when they were active.
The screen uses the 10 most recent valid split-adjusted daily bars found within the preceding 30 calendar days, including the report date. The 10-bar average close—not necessarily every daily close—must be strictly above $3.00.
Screen dollar volume equals 10-bar average close × 10-bar average share volume. It is the product of those two averages, not the average of each day’s close × volume, and must be strictly above $20 million.
The S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite, and VIX provide market context. SPY is the RS benchmark; SPY and QQQ drive the mechanical index-structure vote. None restricts stock-universe membership.
Final membership also requires a valid adjusted OHLCV bar on the selected session. Newly qualifying symbols must pass date-specific reference-metadata validation, and simultaneous ticker aliases are consolidated by stable security identity.
The Green/Yellow/Red methodology is intended to be used as a risk-management mechanism within a separate system. Apex scorecard does not operate or apply that system; it is merely a read-only visualization of the methodology’s data, rules, and historical readings.
